This project is an implementation of the CGA shape grammar as a plugin for Autodesk Maya R © to create a interactive environment for generating architectural facades. The CGA (Computer Generated Architecture) shape grammar, is a context-sensitive grammar created by Pascal Müller and Peter Wonka to procedurally generate buildings [Müller et al. 2006]. By implementing a subset of the shape grammar directly into an industry standard modeling program, this project demonstrates a way to streamline the workflow pipeline for technical artists at film and game studios when modeling multiple buildings that adhere to the same style.
